"The Cowboy Way" is a long standing and well loved tradition in Arizona. Community Spirit combined with this tradition resulted in the first Buckeye rodeo, over seven decades ago, when the Buckeye Valley Chamber of Commerce established Helzapoppin' Days in November 1935.
The tradition and history of the Helzapoppin' PRCA Rodeo preserves the heart and culture of our community, extended now to include many others as demographics change in The Valley of the Sun.
The Helzapoppin' PRCA Rodeo in Buckeye was named by readers of Phoenix New Times Magazine as "The Best Place to see A National Rodeo" - the best this sport has to offer, many enroute to the fantastic Wrangler National Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada in December.
This year, Salt River Rodeo Company, one of the rising stars in the business, ramping up the level of excitement beyond our expectations! Joining us this year are three time world champion bull fighter Mike Matt and Nate Reed. Our announcer, Dan Fowley did a great job last year and is coming back!
The biggest change this year is our move to a new location. South Buckeye Equestrian & Events Center is hosting the rodeo and promises vendors with food and other goodies as well as plenty of parking!
Helzapoppin' PRCA 2012 is shaping up to be a real winner!
